Our Goals
To live in health and happiness by building towards a more sustainable community, promoting an active lifestyle, encompassing past values and traditions, appreciating nature, fostering a sense of community, and encouraging visitors and small businesses. We are looking to attract like-minded families who want to slow down their lives, people interested in small-scale farming, traditional craftmaking and trades, entrepreneurs or anyone motivated to create their own future.
Where Are We
One of the smallest villages in Zala county, the village is located in western Hungary, due west of Lake Balaton.
We are conveniently situated 24km from Keszthely, 34 km from Zalaegerszeg, and 38 km from Nagykanizsa. We are along route 75 and near the M76 and M7 motorways. By car, it is 2 hours to Budapest or Zagreb, 3 hours to Vienna or Ljubljana, and about 4 hours to the Dalmatian Coast.
Why Zalaszentmárton?
With the current European population drain, all rural communities are trying to attract new residents. We are eagerly seeking families and individuals to share in our future!
